Under the direction of Rafael Doctor from the MUSAC, a number of photographers were commissioned to photograph the landscapes of Castilla y León. My guidebook to the land and villages of Castilla y León was an account of the three years pilgrimage, back and forth accross this landscapes from 1506 to 1509, of the Queen Juana of Castilla with her deceased husband King Phillip I in a coffin, a pilgrimage which ended in madness and incarceration.

All the commissions work were presented in the book Castilla y León. Un cierto paisaje, featuring the work by Javier Ayarza, Jordi Bernardó, Bleda y Rosa, Gerardo Custance, Carmela García, Xavier Ribas y Alvaro Villarubia.
The images presented here differ from the images selected for the publication.
